Charity Fun Day for Cystic Fibrosis – 30/08/08
A charity event to raise money for Cystic Fibrosis is taking place at the Wingfield Arms, Montford Bridge on Saturday 30th August.

The fun day is suitable for all the family and begins at 2pm.

The evening entertainment is a show beginning at 8.30pm, with a cast of local dancers and singers with a wide range of music to cater for everyone's tastes!

Entry is free.

Calverhall Family Funday – 31/08/08
On Sunday August 31st the annual Calverhall Family funday takes place on Calverhall playing fields in sunny North Shropshire.

There are Seven main arena events, including a colorful journey back into medieval Britain with 'The Freemen of Gwent'' and lots more entertainment all afternoon.

Harvest Havoc Banger Race – 07/09/08
The Harvest Havoc six charity banger race is taking place on Sunday 7th September from 1pm at Newhall Bank, St. Martins.

There will be both group and full contact racing the day will end with a demolition derby where the last car moving under its own power will be declared the winner.

All money raised during the day will be going to the Wales Air Ambulance.

Oswestry's First dog Show – 21/09/08
Greenfields Greyhound Rescue are holding Oswestry’s First Dog Show at Cae Glas Park, Oswestry on Sunday 21st September from 11am.

There will be two show rings, one for greyhounds and lurchers and one for all other breeds with judging from 12pm.

Its £1 per entry and classes include prettiest bitch, most handsome dog, best brace and lots of other fun classes.

There will also be refreshments, tombola and stalls.

Trefonan Pre-School Fun Day - 21/09/08
Trefonan Pre-School Fun Day is taking place on Sunday 21st September between 1pm – 4pm.

The event will be held on the Trefonen Playing Field with all proceeds going to the both the pre-school and Trefonen School.

Llanymynech Under 18's
Llanymynech under 18's football team are looking for new players to join our u18 team.

They train at Llanymynech on Sundays. Boys age 16-18 we will be playing on Sunday afternoons in the welsh league and the Shropshire youth cup.

Oswestry Youth Cafe are opening on Saturdays between 12.00-3.00pm - serving good value hot meals and free use of cafe facilities including pool table and table football.
